Super-midsize aircraft occupy a useful middle ground across European routes, pairing transatlantic-capable range on the longer types with the runway tolerance needed for shorter, terrain-constrained fields. From a base in the London area or Geneva, an aircraft in this class will reach Moscow, the Canaries, or the Gulf without a tech stop, while still working comfortably into London Biggin Hill, Cannes Mandelieu, or Sion. That flexibility matters more in Europe than range tables alone suggest, because the binding constraint is rarely fuel. It is the slot, the curfew, and where the aircraft happens to be sitting the night before.

Most of the friction on a European charter is ground friction.
