Slot coordination applies on both ends, and night arrivals are workable since Chek Lap Kok operates around the clock, though late movements should still be filed early to secure a landing slot and a stand. The practical constraints here are administrative rather than technical: permit lead times, Hong Kong customs and immigration formalities for the manifest, and positioning the aircraft if it is not already in the region. A crew based out of Tokyo or Hong Kong removes the repositioning leg entirely and is usually the difference between a clean quote and one padded with ferry time.
